Schools put philanthropy on lesson plan: "Third-graders at the Southeast Neighborhood School of Excellence are proud their artwork will be displayed in a gallery -- if only for a day.
But their teachers hope the feeling that went into their art, and a basic understanding of philanthropy -- a word they can't quite spell yet -- will stay with the charter school students for a lifetime."
