ECUM SECUM - A Nova Scotia charity that aims to fight child abuse spent less than three per cent of the money it raised in 2002 on charity work, according to the organization's most recent filing with the Canada Revenue Agency.
Canadians Against Child Abuse Society of Ecum Secum took in $2,328,880 in 2002 from tax-receipted donors and spent $58,698 on charitable activities.
In 2001 the group took in more than $4 million and spent just over $12,000 on charity work.
