The county has a long history of corporate giving. And a stroll through Strathmore shows its managers took advantage of that history; familiar names adorn various parts of the building, such as the Discovery Grand Foyer and the Comcast Circles Lounge. Besides Discovery Communications and Comcast, Marriott International, Lockheed Martin and The Gazette and its parent company, The Washington Post Co., each gave $1 million to the project."
