This has seen the establishment of such bodies as the Office of the Director for Corporate Enforcement, the Irish Financial Services Regulatory Authority, and the forthcoming Irish Auditing and Accounting Supervisory Authority. At the same time, the Revenue Commissioners have been afforded new and stringent powers. "
