One of the world's wealthiest men is amongst those to be honoured in a ceremony in the Scottish Parliament.

The Aga Khan is one of six recipients of the international Andrew Carnegie Medal of Philanthropy.

The Scottish founder of Kwik Fit, Sir Tom Farmer, will receive his medal from First Minister Jack McConnell.

The honour is intended to be the equivalent of the Nobel Prize for people who have devoted their wealth to the good of mankind."
