Oct. 7--MAINERS GIVE MBNA MUCH CREDIT: You just don't see it: A community celebration of a specific company, a day to thank the corporation for all it has done.
Sure, the governor shows up at factories to promote a great environmental stride or some new machine. Town officials everywhere cut ribbons and accept huge-for-the-camera checks.
But it's not every day you see a couple hundred townspeople take time on a Saturday to say 'Thank you, big company' for being a good-guy corporate citizen.
