Yale gets $50M gift for global affairs center -- Newsday.com: "HARTFORD, Conn. - Yale University will use a $50 million gift from a New Jersey couple to launch a new global affairs program designed to better prepare students for careers in diplomacy and other international jobs, school President Richard C. Levin said Friday.

The gift, among the largest given to the New Haven university, comes from 1967 Yale graduate John W. Jackson, his wife Susan and their charitable organization, the Liana Foundation."
