A run on the Bailey Bros. Building & Loan nearly put the fictional financial institution out of business in 'It';s a Wonderful Life.' Today, sagging attendance is putting The Jimmy Stewart Museum in a spot where it could use a guardian angel like Clarence, who comes to the rescue of Jimmy Stewart';s character.

The museum celebrating the life of Jimmy Stewart, who made his name in classic films like It';s A Wonderful Life and Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, has seen a significant drop-off in visitors. Timothy Harley, executive director of the museum, estimates that there will be fewer than 5,000 visits in 2010, half the number of visits during his first year at the museum in 2000. There were about 6,500 visits to the museum during 2009, located in Stewart';s hometown of Indiana, Pa., about 60 miles east of Pittsburgh."
